Dear Customers,
Our main supplier, Lancer Orthodontics has recently released an updated price list for its products. Unsurprisingly, given the inflationary and supply chain pressures in much of the world, the prices for most of our Lancer products will be increasing to some extent, although this is not the case for all products.
I have included a summary overview of all of our price changes below. In order to simplify it I will not be including a list of all individual items as that would be a very long list indeed. I will however, be contacting individual customers and providing them with detailed information regarding any price changes for products that they use.
To simplify this overview I will give general information regarding price changes. Specifically, I will indicate if the price changes have been small or minor price (1%-20%), moderate (21%-40%) and large or significant (41%+).

Brackets:
There have been small price increases over most of our range Lancer brackets, most notably this is seen in our Ceramic brackets and Self Ligating brackets where there have been moderate rice increases. The prices for Lancer's Metal Brackets have either remained the same or had small changes.
Buccal tubes:
There have been significant changes in the pricing of Lancers Buccal tubes. As a general rule of thumb all of the cheaper Buccal Tubes ($4 per tube) have doubled in price, while their more expensive tubes ($8 per tube) have halved in price. The standard single velocity tubes have had only a small increase in their price.
Archwires and wire accessories:
The pricing for most Lancer archwires is unchanged or has been increased by a small amount. The exception to this is the TMA and coated archwire where there have been significant price increases.
There have been small to moderate price increases for most archwire accessories, with the exception of the crimpable ball hooks, which have had a significant price increase.
Our ever popular Goodman Torqueing Spring (GTS) has had a significant price reduction and is now much more affordable.
Elastics:
There have been minor price increases for Lancer's selection of ligature ties and chain. There has also been large price increases for some of the more specialised elastomeric products including lip bumper tubing, slip not tubing and elastomeric thread. The pricing for the sports range of elastics is unchanged.
Mirrors:
All of Lancers mirrors have had moderate price decreases and are now more affordable.
Pliers and instruments:
There have been numerous price changes to the range of pliers and instruments offered by Lancer and I will go into additional detail here as the changes have been quite extensive.
The Stealth range of instruments have seen the greatest changes which are listed below.
Large Increase:
Mathieu plier, Bond removing plier, Grooved Arch forming plier, Wire bending plier, Deluxe Bracket tweezer
Moderate Increase:
All Birdbeak pliers, all Premium pliers, Power cutter, Heavy three jaw plier
Small Increase:
Adhesive removing plier, Loop forming plier, Tweed arch bending plier, Hard wire cutter, Adams plier, Stop Plier, Band removing pliers, Bite stick, Ligature Directors, Bracket Tweezers
No change:
Weingart pliers, Pin and ligature cutters, Bracket removing pliers, Hollow chop plier, Distal End safety cutters, Jaraback plier, Hook crimping plier, Nance closing loop plier, Coon Plier, Elastic placing plier, Optical plier, How Plier, Three Jaw, Tie back plier, Goose Neck plier
Price Decrease:
Light wire pliers, Ligating plier, Keat Tweezer, Bracketizer
The prices for most of the Lancer branded pliers have had either a small increase or has remained the same.
Storm Mini-screws:
The pricing of the Storm mini-screws has moderately decreased and they are now more affordable.
Kristal Clear Plastic:
All of our K-clear plastics have had a moderate price increase.
Bands:
The prices for most bands have either remained the same or had small increases. The prices of pre-weld band assemblies will likely be changed depending on what buccal tube has been chosen.
Orthodontic Adhesives
No price changes for most of our adhesives, some minor increases for the Lancer branded adhesives. Large price increase for the etching gel.
Lingual attachments.
There have been moderate to large price increases for all lingual attachments.
Miscellaneous items:
Minor price increases for retainer cases, alginate flavouring and patient home care kits. Moderate price increases for Wax, Thera Bite wafers, tracing paper and archwire markers.
Extra Oral Appliances:
Minor price changes, more reductions than increases.
